Montshire Museum of Science
Summary
Bread Loaf was selected as the Construction Manager for several new spaces at the Montshire Museum. The range of projects spanned construction of the original children’s museum, classrooms, a museum store, a reception area, a theater gallery, education space, bathrooms and storage.
Outside, Bread Loaf constructed an elaborate water park that snakes around the museum’s exterior. The park invites visitors to interact with water, light, sound and other natural elements. It provides an amphitheater for gatherings from concerts to informal talks, orients visitors to the surrounding site and guides them to the trails into the surrounding meadows, forests and wetlands.
