Town of Hartford Ribbon Cutting

White River Junction, Vermont—A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held on October 3rd to celebrate the newly renovated Town of Hartford Town Hall. Bread Loaf Corporation provided Integrated Project Management services for the design and construction of the renovated building.

The newly renovated Hartford Town Hall is designed and engineered with a focus in energy efficiency and durability. The building is uniquely positioned to be a Net Zero Energy municipal building, meaning that its efficiency allows it to be connected to a solar array to provide all the power the building requires for heating and cooling without the use of fossil fuels. The new facility is a gut renovation providing light filled and thermally comfortable spaces for Town departments with a number of public meeting spaces including the Selectboard meeting room. This is the first significant renovation that the 1890’s era building, originally designed as a school, has had since the Town Offices were located in the building in the 1960’s.
